4X4 trip in the wild nature of the Israeli desert
A spectacular route in the Israeli desert that includes lookouts, off-road driving in streams and a trip through craters.
The route begins in the Masada Fortress area and the Dead Sea, passes through the large and small craters, continues to the Negev and Arava regions and reaches the resort city of Israel - Eilat.
The route continues in the Ramon Crater and Mitzpe Ramon and ends in Tel Aviv
Day number 1:
After landing in Tel Aviv, your guide will greet you, take you to the rental company counter, and after we receive our SUV, we will organize and load our equipment, and begin the journey south towards the Dead Sea.
On the way, we will climb to one of the spectacular lookouts in the area, right at the top of the cliff from which (depending on the visibility that day of course) we can observe most of the Dead Sea
We will descend from the cliff and drive to the hotel that will host us for the next three nights
Day number 2:
After breakfast we will go to one of the oldest and most impressive fortresses in Israel - Masada Fortress
We will climb to the fortress by cable car, take a walk, listen to brief explanations and be impressed by the view. Then we will get back to our SUV and start an off-road trip in one of the impressive streams in the Dead Sea area with a view of Genesis
Afterwards we will return to the hotel and if we have time, we will take a dip in the Dead Sea (in any case we will not give up the experience, and if we do not have time today, we will take a dip in the Dead Sea tomorrow).
Day number 3:
Today we will tour the Great Crater and the Small Crater
After breakfast we will start by driving towards the Great Crater (Yeruham Crater). We will reach an amazing viewpoint and have a coffee break in the Colorful Sands Reserve. Next, we will drive along the old road to Eilat to the Small Crater, and after a lookout from Ma'aleh Akrabim, we will drive down it with a careful drive and enter the crater itself
We will return to our hotel in the afternoon and can enjoy spa treatments (by prior reservation at the hotel desk, spa treatments are not included in the package), float in the Dead Sea water or relax in the hotel pool
Day number 4:
After breakfast, we will load our equipment into the SUV and begin our drive south.
We will cross natural sand dunes and surf in the sand, climb off-road to several lookouts with spectacular views, and even drive off-road in one of the streams that flow into the Red Sea near Israel's resort city - Eilat.
At the end of the day, we will arrive at the hotel that will host us for the next two nights
Day number 5:
We will spend this day in the resort city of Eilat, which offers a variety of entertainment options for all ages.
Starting from a selection of extreme water sports activities, a water park, an underwater observatory, swimming with dolphins or a glass-bottomed boat cruise that allows you to watch the special fish that live in the Red Sea from above.
The resort city of Eilat is a VAT-exempt city and has several shopping malls where you can purchase local and international brands.
The highlight of the city is the vibrant nightlife, with a significant number of bars and clubs that allow us to enjoy them after dinner.
Day number 6:
After breakfast, we will load our SUV and start heading back north
We will take a trip to one of the special parks in the Israeli desert that showcases the wonders of nature at its best. We will continue towards the Ramon Crater and stop after an off-road trip at one of the spectacular lookouts right in the middle of the desert
We will be impressed by a natural, colorful and special site in the Ramon Crater and later we will go up to an observation point over the entire eastern part of the crater in Mitzpe Ramon
We will arrive at the hotel that will host us for the next two nights in the Mitzpe Ramon area
Day number 7:
Today we have a wonderful adventure!
We will take a long and challenging off-road trip to a natural spring right in the middle of the desert and on the eastern edge of the small crater. When we arrive near the spring, we will have an easy walk of about a few minutes until we reach the spring
The spring flows and fills up naturally all year round and you can take a dip in it (the water is cold!!!)
At the end, we will return to our hotel for one last night before driving to the city without stopping - Tel Aviv
Day number 8:
After breakfast, we will load our equipment into the SUV and continue our journey north towards the city of Tel Aviv
We will stop along the way at one of the most impressive stalactite caves in Israel, where we can admire the stalactites and stalagmites in a variety of shapes and a magical and wonderful world of stone sculptures made by nature
At the end of the visit, we will drive to the city of Tel Aviv, where we will spend the last two nights of our trip
Day number 9:
What we will do today, we will coordinate in advance in a conversation to coordinate expectations between us during the booking
The city of Tel Aviv holds a large number of options that suit all kinds of interests, and it is not possible to do everything in one day
You can stroll through one of the city's markets and combine it with buying souvenirs in one of the city's malls, a trip to Old Jaffa or Yarkon Park, lounging on the beach or a fun tour of one of the open centers of the bustling city, and of course you cannot ignore the wide range of nightlife that the city offers
Day number 10:
The schedule for the last day of our trip is determined by the time of departure back home and the time of arrival at the airport
We will use the last hours of the trip for some last-minute shopping in Tel Aviv, or alternatively, for a last off-road tour in nature in the Ben Shemen forests
At the end, we will return our SUV to the rental company at the airport, accompany you to the check-in counters, wish you a safe flight back home and say goodbye in anticipation of the next trip
