4X4 trip in nature and 2X2 in the city
One of our more interesting routes, which combines a lot of nature and urban scenery unique to northern Israel, along with sacred and important sites for Christians and the Baha'i community.
We will begin our trip in Jerusalem - the capital of Israel, continue to the baptism site, visit the Sea of Galilee and the Golan Heights, travel along the Jordan River and climb the Galilee Mountains, reach Haifa and Acre, and end in Tel Aviv.
Day number 1:
After landing in Tel Aviv, your guide will greet you, take you to the rental company counter, and after we receive our SUV, we will organize and load our equipment, and begin the journey to the capital of Israel - Jerusalem.
We will arrive at the hotel that will host us for the next two nights, freshen up a bit and go on a tour of the Old City of Jerusalem
We will wander through the alleys of the Christian Quarter, walk along Via del Rosario and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, reach the Room of the Last Supper and the Church of the Dormition, continue to the Jewish Quarter and visit the famous Western Wall and the Tower of David.
Finally, we will return to our hotel for dinner and rest
Day number 2:
After breakfast we will visit Gethsemane, and from there we will drive to visit the Yad Vashem museum (optional). We will pass through the Knesset, the President's House and then return to our hotel for a short rest.
In the evening, we will go to experience the Jerusalem atmosphere at the old "Mahane Yehuda" market which offers a variety of restaurants, cafes and bars
Finally, we will return to the hotel for our last night in Jerusalem.
Day number 3:
We will begin our day by driving east towards the baptismal site "Qasr al-Yahud" where, according to Christian tradition, on the east bank of the Jordan River, John the Baptist baptized Jesus and his believers.
Through the Jordan Valley we will continue north and climb to the Gilboa mountain range, where we will experience this trip for the first time by driving off-road, where we will reach a spectacular viewpoint over the Jezreel Valley.
Later we will drive towards the Sea of Galilee, where we will stay at a hotel for the next three nights
Day number 4:
After breakfast we will visit the Church of the Bread and Fishes and Capernaum
Next, we will drive off-road along the Jordan River and even reach the "capital of the Golan" - Katzrin, where we will visit a local winery and taste the variety of wines produced there
At the end of the day we will return to our hotel for dinner and a night's rest
Day number 5:
We will start the day by climbing to the north of the Golan Heights, reaching one of the oldest fortresses in Israel from which we can look out over the Lebanon Valley
In the spring/summer season we will continue rafting on the Jordan River (in the fall/winter season we will dip in the Hamat Gader site - a site with hot pools rich in minerals)
We will continue with an off-road trip on the "Golan Trail" and return to our hotel at the end of the day
Day number 6:
After breakfast, we will drive north and climb the Naftali Mountain Range, where we will drive on one of the amazing off-road routes in northern Israel, from which you can overlook the entire Hula Valley
We will continue west towards the Western Galilee, passing through the "Arrow Cave" and arriving at the Rosh Hanikra Nature Reserve
At the end of the site visit, we will drive to the hotel that will host us for the next two nights in the city of Haifa
Day number 7:
After breakfast we will visit one of the oldest port cities in the world - Acre
We will visit the Old City and the Baha'i Gardens in Acre, and later we will return to Haifa to visit the Temple and the Baha'i Gardens there too
Finally, we will return to our hotel for a short rest, and after dinner, we will go out to explore the city's nightlife
Day number 8:
Before we leave Haifa, we will go on an off-road trip on the "Carmel View Trail" located in the Carmel Mountains.
Next, we will drive south along the coastal road, towards the city without stopping - Tel Aviv
After a short rest and refreshment at the hotel that will host us for the last two nights of our trip, we will go out to explore the city's vibrant nightlife, which offers a very wide variety of entertainment options
Day number 9:
We will coordinate this day in advance, and together we will decide what style suits you
Are you interested in a tour of Old Jaffa, a tour of Tel Aviv's markets, a visit to the many shopping malls spread across the city, relaxing on the beach, swimming in the hotel pool, or a combination of several options…
Day number 10:
The schedule for the last day of our trip is determined by the time of departure back home and the time of arrival at the airport
We will use the last hours of the trip for some last-minute shopping in Tel Aviv, or alternatively, for a last off-road tour in nature in the Ben Shemen forests
At the end, we will return our SUV to the rental company at the airport, accompany you to the check-in counters, wish you a safe flight back home and say goodbye in anticipation of the next trip
